Describe the application
Include the surface material, whether it is flat or curved, and the conditions the finished label will face. Packaging, a reusable container and an outdoor item have different requirements. Describe any exposure to moisture, sunlight, cleaning or abrasion; suitability needs to be confirmed for the selected product rather than assumed from a general description.
Prepare the size and artwork
Give the intended finished width and height and explain the shape you have in mind. Supply the original logo or design and note any text that must remain legible at the final size. If a cut outline, bleed or other preparation is required, confirm the specification for the quoted product before approving the artwork. A preview is a planning aid, not a finished production file.
